Registrations are now open for pageant floats and food stalls as Council gears up for the annual Christmas Pageant and afterparty in Sturt Park.
The Pageant will begin at 6pm on December 5 with the motorcade to travel through Oxide Street and the CBD, followed by the traditional celebration in Sturt Park afterwards.
The afterparty will kick off at 6:30 PM, featuring a variety of food stalls, twilight markets, children's activities, and a special appearance by Santa.
Council's Community Development Coordinator, Rachel Merton, said early nominations for the event help ensure Council can deliver the best possible event to the community.
"We've had really good numbers of stalls and pageant floats over the last few years, and early registrations allow us to plan and prepare for the event in advance to ensure it all runs smoothly," said Ms Merton.
"We want to avoid anyone missing out at the last minute, so I'd encourage everyone to get their nomination in early even if they don't have their float ready to go yet."
