City of Darwin today opened applications for its 2022/23 sponsorship program.
Lord Mayor Kon Vatskalis said City of Darwin sponsorships had provided support for numerous community, cultural and sporting events for more than 20 years.
"We are proud to continue to provide support for long-standing events like the Darwin Festival and Royal Darwin Show," Mr Vatskalis said.
"But we also want to hear from groups who have not yet received sponsorship but who might have exciting ideas for events which reflect our vibrant multicultural community."
Mr Vatskalis said in addition to community events, City of Darwin sponsorships were also available for business initiatives which created benefits for Darwin
"Our sponsorship program is broad-ranging and is available for business projects or events which create value for the social, economic, cultural or environmental life of Darwin."
Events and projects which earned sponsorship are those which generally attract large numbers of participants or create a benefit for the local economy, Mr Vatskalis said.
Applications for City of Darwin sponsorships close on 8 April.
