People with a disability and their carers will have a new online space to provide feedback to Council.
To recognise International Day of People with Disability on 3 December, the City of Whittlesea has today launched the Whittlesea Disability Network (WDN) Hub.
The hub is an online space where people with disability, their carers and support network, as well as disability service providers, can provide feedback to Council on what people with disability need to live independently and safely in the community.
Chair Administrator Lydia Wilson said the hub was another way Council was supporting the Whittlesea Disability Network.
"Ensuring we have two-way communication with people with disability and their community is a crucial aspect of our Whittlesea 2040 vision - to create a place for all," Ms Wilson said.
"Providing this online space will help us better understand the needs of this group of people in our community and allow them to have their say."
The WDN Hub will provide opportunities where people can comment about:
• Access to local spaces and places
• Disability services and support needs
• Council services and programs supporting people with disability and carers
