Willoughby City Council is calling for expressions of interest from passionate and skilled community members to join the Civic Place Trust.

Established by Council in 2004, the Civic Place Trust plays a pivotal role in promoting the arts and supporting cultural facilities across the City of Willoughby.

The Trust was instrumental in fundraising for the construction of The Concourse, Chatswood's iconic performing arts and cultural hub. Today, it continues to contribute to our city's vibrant cultural life, most recently supporting the Willoughby Symphony Orchestra and diverse performances at The Concourse.

Now entering a new phase, the Trust is aiming to boost its fundraising efforts through a strategic donations plan. To help achieve this, Willoughby City Council is looking to appoint two new trustees with the right mix of skills, experience and energy.

Expressions of interest are being sought for:

  • One trustee with expertise in the arts, fundraising and/or philanthropy
  • One trustee with legal, governance and/or financial experience

Trustees must be respected members of the community and willing to commit to around four to six meetings a year.

Expressions of Interest close at 5pm, Friday 10 May 2024.
