Clan lab discovered in Cheltenham

Caulfield Divisional Response Unit (DRU) detectives have located a clandestine laboratory at a house in Cheltenham today.

The DRU officers, with the assistance of Clandestine Laboratory Squad members, executed a search warrant at an address on Beatrice Street as part of an ongoing drug investigation about 7am.

A clandestine laboratory was located inside the home.

Forensic officers from the Chemical-Biological-Radiological Unit processed the scene, seizing precursor chemicals and other chemicals, as well as glassware and documents consistent with the manufacture of illicit drugs.

A 22-year-old Cheltenham man was arrested at the scene and is currently assisting police with their enquiries.
