Clean Up Australia Day: Roll Up Sleeves for Change

Garbage bags filled with littered plastic bottles and other recyclables sitting on green grass on a sunny day.

Clean Up Australia Day is back again for another year on Sunday 1 March 2026, with Snowy Monaro Regional Council proud to be supporting one of Australia's largest and longest-running environmental conservation and waste reduction events.

Council is excited to announce that we are stepping up our support of this important initiative in 2026 with the launch of the first-ever Great Team Council Clean Up. The new staff event will see our teams volunteer together on Tuesday 24 February 2026 to clean up public spaces across Berridale, Bombala, Cooma and Jindabyne.

We're calling on residents and visitors across the region to join us in rolling up our sleeves to make a difference this March.

There are community-organised Clean Up Australia Day events planned across the region, making it easy to pitch in and do your part to keep our region beautiful, protect native ecosystems, and connect as a community.
