Clean Up Before Summer With Moira's Green Waste Amnesty

Now is the time to get your property ready before the onset of the fire danger season.

Moira Shire Council is holding a Green Waste Amnesty from 5 to 18 October, giving residents the chance to dispose of green waste free of charge at all Shire Resource Recovery Centres.

This is a great opportunity to clear gutters, mow overgrown grass, remove fallen branches and cut-back vegetation that could fuel a fire near your home.

Reducing fuel loads around your property is one of the most effective things you can do to protect your family, your neighbours and your community this fire season.

The amnesty is open to Moira Shire residents only, and a driver's licence is required for proof of residency.

Don't leave it until it's too late - get your property fire-ready today.
