Agriculture Victoria is continuing its popular irrigation webinar series with Climate impacts on stream flows and future water supplies on Thursday 1 July, from 1 pm.
Agriculture Victoria Senior Irrigation Extension Officer Rob O'Connor said the webinar will focus on the impacts of our changing climate on rainfall, run-off and stream flows in Northern Victoria, including the long-term outlook for stream flows.
The webinar will cover:
- Changes that have occurred in temperature, rainfall and stream flows in recent decades
- Key drivers of the changing climate and streamflow patterns
- The latest information on long-term climate and streamflow projections
The expert speaker is Geoff Steendam, Manager of the Hydrology and Climate Science team, with the Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning (DELWP).
As knowledge-brokers for the water sector, Geoff and his team invest in targeted scientific research and work with water stakeholders in Victoria to assist them to access knowledge and adapt to the changing conditions.
