Cold-hearted burglar

Detectives from the Melbourne Crime Investigation Unit are asking for public assistance to help solve a burglary which occurred in Melbourne in April.

Investigators have been told a man attended the storage area of a hotel on Queen Street about 8.30pm on 29 April.

Once inside the area the man selected a number of items before a freezer-trike caught his eye.

The offender dumped the rest of his ill-gotten gains before jumping onto the trike and riding off.

He was last seen headed along Flinders Street.

The offender is perceived to be male with an olive complexion.

At the time of the offence he was wearing black track pants, a black t-shirt, black hat and white shoes.

Investigators have released CCTV footage and images of a man they believe may be able to assist with their enquires.
