Coles is helping Victorians save more with a thrifty hack to get more bang for your buck, offering Flybuys members 10% off selected Coles Mastercard gift cards for shoppers.
For now until Tuesday 26 April, Coles customers in Victoria can pick up a $100 or $250 gift card and receive 10% off the total transaction, which includes an applicable purchase fee.
The money-saving move will help customers save on upcoming purchases — from groceries, household bills, petrol, restaurants and entertainment —cutting the price of anything that can be purchased with a Mastercard.
A recent survey of nearly 14,000 Australians1 found increasing household budget pressures were impacting spending habits, with 50% of Aussies looking for food specials and promotions to manage their weekly shop.
As part of the promotion, Flybuys members can pick up a $250 Coles Mastercard gift card, which carries a $7 purchase fee, for just $231.30 leaving an extra $18.70 in their pocket.
Coles customers can also buy a $100 Coles Mastercard Gift Card, with a purchase fee of $5 per card, for $94.50 with the 10% discount, which is a saving of $5.50.
There's a limit of five gift cards per customer, which means customers can save up to $93.50 by purchasing five $250 gift cards.
Coles General Manager for Health and Home Deb Galle said the discount offers endless opportunities for customers to maximise savings at a time they need it most.
"We know many Australians are looking to stretch their weekly budget with rising cost of living pressures and providing the very best value at Coles is one of our key priorities," Deb said.
"The 10% off selected Coles Mastercard gift cards will provide some temporary relief on everyday expenses, as the gift cards can be used on anything from the weekly shop to paying the household bills — if you've been saving up for something special, this could also be the time to make that purchase."
Discounts on $100 Coles Mastercard and $250 Coles Mastercard gift cards are available only at Coles supermarkets in Victoria until Tuesday, 26 April, while stocks last. To receive the discount, customers must be a Flybuys member.
