Yarra City Council
The City of Yarra is excited to inform you of a Community Battery and Electric Vehicle Charging Station will be installed at Collingwood Leisure Centre.
The works will take place from Sunday 14 September 2025 to Wednesday 1 October. It is expected the new charging station will be available for public use from the start of November 2025 following a testing period.
Impact to Leisure Centre Customers
On Monday 15 September Collingwood Leisure Centre will open at 8am to ensure works can be completed safely.
During the work period, there will be impacts to access pathways and accessible ramps as well as street parking.
These include:
- The Accessible ramp on the Mayors Park side of the entrance will be unavailable for use. We encourage all those needing ramp access to park in the Main carpark and utilise the pathway ramp.
- Intermittent disruptions to the footpath on the Mayors Park side of the venue (Traffic Management will be available to assist).
- Car Parking spaces on Turnbull Street will be reduced to ensure a safe work zone.
