Columbia Primary Care has opened a larger space with more providers at ColumbiaDoctors Midtown, located at 51 W. 51st St.
Four primary care providers now practice in the newly renovated third-floor space and are accepting new patients.
ColumbiaDoctors has added 16 primary care providers for adult patients since the 2019 arrival of David Buchholz, MD, senior founding medical director of Columbia Primary Care.
"One of the strengths of primary care is that we develop relationships with our patients. We get to know them well-not just their physical well-being, but their mental well-being, and how they relate to society and their families," Buchholz says.
"Having a primary care provider means having somebody who is thinking of you and your health even when you're not in our office, even when you're not sick."

Other Columbia Primary Care providers, including general pediatricians, are located in Washington Heights and Morningside Heights in Manhattan and Tarrytown in Westchester County. Just over a year ago, the group's first newly built location, Columbia Primary Care Manhattan Valley at Broadway and 103rd Street, opened to patients.
Partnering with Columbia Primary Care gives patients access to a network of over 1,800 world-renowned specialists at Columbia University Irving Medical Center. The primary care team coordinates referrals and helps patients make appointments with specialists.
Columbia Primary Care also offers virtual visits for both adults and children using its secure patient portal, a fast and convenient way to get the same quality care available with in-person visits.
