Cardinia Shire Council unveiled a new mural at Comely Banks Pavilion in Officer on Saturday 28 October 2023.

Commissioned by local arts organisation, Melbourne's Murals, the new public artwork is painted on the exterior of the pavilion and highlights diverse representation and inclusivity in sport.

Cardinia Shire Mayor Councillor Tammy Radford attended the community event and was proud to unveil the completed mural.

"Our public artworks help nurture a sense of community and shared history in Cardinia Shire."

"The new Comely Banks Pavilion mural promotes a safe and inclusive environment, representing people of all abilities, as well as bringing a creative flair to the surrounding facilities and amenities at Comely Banks Reserve." Mayor Radford said.

The community were invited to have their say on the colours, representation, and the sports included in the mural earlier this year, and the feedback informed the final design.
