Two professors walk into a bar. One topic. Different points of view. Many unexpected connections.
Walk Into a Bar unites two experts in wildly different fields and invites them to grapple with a single theme they both care about. An unscripted conversation follows. Everyone - even the professors - learns something new. In the first episode, Chiara Mingarelli, an astrophysicist, and Maiani da Silva, a musician, explore gravitational waves and sound waves. Watch as they find a meeting point in Pythagoras; discuss the overlap between the arts and the sciences; and broach what it really means to pass the test of time.
Walk Into a Bar is produced by Yale's Office of Public Affairs and Communications. Episodes are recorded at a bar on the Yale University campus. Learn more at news.yale.edu.
