Construction of the Minto Multicultural Community Centre Enhancement Project is set to begin at Minto Community Centre in August.
The project will enhance the existing community facility, creating more functional and flexible spaces to better meet the needs of local residents and community groups.
Upgrades to the facility include:
- Upgraded kitchen
- Additional storage areas
- New external shade shelter
- Added meeting/interview rooms
"The Minto Multicultural Community Centre Enhancement Project supports our commitment to supporting programs and services for some of our most vulnerable community members," said Mayor of Campbelltown, Cr Darcy Lound.
"This facility plays an important role in assisting the community and these upgrades help ensure it can continue to provide a safe, welcoming and functional environment for residents to access support when they need it". said Cr Lound.
Member for Macquarie Fields, Anoulack Chanthivong MP, said the project would enable the centre to expand on its various support programs and services.
"The Minto Multicultural Community Centre Enhancement Project is set to deliver fantastic outcomes for our diverse and growing community. This is an exciting project, which will provide a modern, fully functional centre for community connection, care and culture," said Minister Chanthivong.
These enhancements will help the centre continue to provide support for people experiencing social and economic challenge.
Construction is set to completed by late 2026.
