Struggling to find volunteers?

Want a way for people to find you?

Federation Council is encouraging all locals to register and use the community directory on the council website.

The Community Directory is an online directory that aims to bring together a range of community services in the one space. It provides information for people who may be looking to join a sporting club or volunteer at a local service club. As well as links to service providers and support for people who may be needing assistance.

By registering you will receive the following benefits:

  • You control your listing. If your details change, you can update your information for free at any time and ensure that members and the community have the right information.
  • By registering you will receive relevant information from Council including upcoming initiatives, funding opportunities, workshops programs and events.
  • It is an effective advertisement avenue to attract more volunteers as you can register as a volunteer run club who are looking for more volunteers.
  • The directory includes an easy to use interface and groups can list across a number of different categories, making finding information a simple and straight forward process for users.

“More than ever we need to stay connected and be part of our communities, having access to such a free online program means that people can find and connect with services and opportunities as they need them,” Mayor Patrick Bourke said. “The council and the website attracts a large number of people who are looking for information about their communities including how to connect with a range of different groups and clubs.”

The aim is to make the directory the one stop shop for community and an easy way for visitors and residents to find information about what services and opportunities are available in the Federation Council area.

“It would be fantastic to see every club and organization across the council area listed on there,” Mayor Bourke suggested. “It would really demonstrate the amount of amazing community services and volunteers we have access to here is the Federation Council area.”

It is free to register and making a listing is easy.
