Community Health Zones Launch At Bayside Libraries

Bayside Council Libraries, in partnership with South Eastern Sydney Local Health District (SESLHD), will launch new Community Health Zones at Rockdale and Eastgardens Libraries on Wednesday 20 August.

The Health Zones will provide residents with access to trusted health information, details of local services and information about upcoming health and wellbeing programs delivered through the Healthy Libraries initiative.

The initiative brings Council and local health services together to improve health literacy and make reliable information easier to access through local libraries.

The official launch at Rockdale Library will include the opening of the Community Health Zone, opportunities to speak with health staff and activities for library visitors. A health promotion activity will also be held during Toddler Time for parents, carers and young children.

The health zones will be available at both Rockdale and Eastgardens Libraries.
