Feedback is being sought on Brisbane City Council's proposed Temporary Local Planning Instrument (TLPI) for the Kurilpa neighbourhood in South Brisbane.
A local government may prepare a temporary local planning instrument (TLPI) to respond to changing and emerging planning issues.
The proposed TLPI has been prepared to increase housing supply, in response to a high level of housing need, in a part of the city that is well serviced by existing and planned infrastructure and has good access to employment and services.
The purpose of the proposed TLPI is to increase housing supply in Kurilpa area and includes increased building heights for higher density residential buildings.
Brisbane City Council has submitted the proposed TLPI to the State and is seeking the Planning Minister's approval to adopt.
The Planning Minister will take into account feedback received through consultation from community, industry and other stakeholders, particularly on the impacts the changes will have on housing affordability.
