Each year, we ask the community how they think we're performing in a number of areas through the Community Satisfaction Survey.
This year's survey was undertaken by external provider, Metropolis Research, who conducted door-to-door interviews with 500 residents earlier this year.
Our results show the perception of Council's overall performance remains good at 6.8, which was slightly lower than 2024 but overall higher than our average score over the 2014-2025 period.
All services and facilities were rated as "Good", "Very Good" or "Excellent" satisfaction.
Local library services, youth services, fortnightly bundled branch collection, waste management, and sports ovals and other outdoor sporting facilities are the areas where Council performed best.
The main issue highlighted by residents was road maintenance and repairs. When asked what was driving this response, most respondents indicated complaints about the maintenance of state-owned roads.
The survey is one of the many ways we gather feedback on how our customers are feeling about our services.
Feedback will inform Council's plans and strategies and provide insight into ways we can continue to improve the services we deliver.
