Campaspe Shire Council is delighted to announce the official opening of two new off-leash dog parks in Kyabram and Tongala, and invites residents to bring their dogs to the launch events.
Campaspe Shire Mayor, Cr Daniel Mackrell was pleased to see a key community priority come to life through the Kyabram and Tongala place-based plans.
"These are the first off-leash dog parks in Kyabram and Tongala, and they've come directly from what locals said mattered most.
"Kyabram listed it as their number one short-term priority, and Tongala had it in their top six - it's rewarding to see those plans turning into real spaces for people and pets to enjoy.
"These dog parks are something the community asked for, and we're proud to deliver them with support from the Australian Government's Local Roads and Community Infrastructure program.
"It's a great example of how targeted funding can help bring local priorities to life," Cr Mackrell said.
To celebrate the event, representatives from Campaspe's Animal Management teams will be onsite at both events, and the first 30 dogs brought along by attendees will receive a complementary pack of Barkin' Good Dog Biscuits.
