Competition Bureau publishes highlights from its Digital Enforcement Summit

Today, the Competition Bureau issued a report highlighting key takeaways from its inaugural Digital Enforcement Summit, which took place online throughout October and November 2020.

The Summit allowed the Bureau and its partners, both domestic and international, to share best practices and explore new tools and strategies for tackling emerging enforcement issues in the digital era.

The summary report recaps four expert panel discussions that followed the stages of an investigation, from detection to resolution.

Over 750 participants from Canada and abroad attended the Summit's panels, including representatives from the business, legal and academic communities, federal regulators and foreign competition enforcement authorities.

The Bureau recognizes the important contributions of our guest expert panellists which helped advance dialogue on emerging issues in the digital economy. We look forward to continuing our collaboration with partners through future summits in the years to come.
