Concerns for missing boy with autism

Police are appealing for public assistance to help locate missing nine-year-old boy Mohammad Sesay.

Mohammad went missing from Ascot Vale about 2.40pm and was last sighted in Princess Park, Carlton North, about 4.20pm today.

Police and family hold concerns for his welfare due to his age and because he has autism.

Mohammad is also non-verbal.

He is African and is tall for his age, standing about 150cm.

He was last seen wearing a grey shirt, black hoodie and camouflage green pants.

Mohammad may also have in his possession a distinctive red bicycle that would appear too small for him.

Investigators have released an image of Mohammad in the hope that someone can provide information on his current whereabouts.

Anyone who has seen Mohammad or has information on his current whereabouts is urged to call 000 immediately.
