Concerns for woman missing in Sydney's south-west

Police are appealing for assistance from the public to find a woman missing from the Macquarie Fields area.

Mrs Shokat Zabihi, 79, had been staying with her daughter in Parkland Avenue since arriving in Australia on 23 January 2020 for a holiday.

She was last seen about 9.30am today (Sunday 2 February 2020), when she left the home for a walk; when she didn't return, officers from Campbelltown City Police Area Command were alerted and a search was initiated.

Mrs Zabihi is described as being of Mediterranean/Middle Eastern appearance, about 150cm-160cm tall, medium build, with dark hair and eyes. At the time she was wearing grey pants, a blue floral shirt and white sandals.

Police and Mrs Zabihi's family have concerns for her welfare due to the extreme heat in the area as well as the fact she suffers from a medical condition and may appear confused or disoriented. She speaks little to no English.

Anyone who may have seen Mrs Zabihi is urged to call Campbelltown Police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

Anyone with information about this incident is urged to contact Crime Stoppers: 1800 333 000 or https://nsw.crimestoppers.com.au. Information is treated in strict confidence.
