The city's older residents and their carers will be celebrated next month with a concert and Expo to be held as part of the 2026 NSW Seniors Festival.
The Seniors Concert will be held at the Civic Centre at 1pm on March 5, and will include performances by school choir students, local vocal and instrumental performers, and performing community groups.
This will be followed by the NavigAGE Seniors Expo at the Civic Centre between 10am-1pm on March 12, which will feature a free morning tea and a chance for residents to speak with local services, care providers, and volunteer groups.
Mayor Tom Kennedy said both events were a chance for Council and the community to give something back to older residents.
"The Seniors Concert is always a popular event that people look forward to, and I'm sure it will be a great show again this year," said Mr Kennedy.
"And the Expo will be an ideal chance to find out about important care services and volunteer opportunities, or just come along for some morning tea and a chat.
"The older generations of Broken Hill have contributed so much to our city, so it's great to have a few events in their honour."
