The Concert Hall at The Concourse has officially been renamed the Pat Reilly Concert Hall, with a commemorative plaque and new signage installed to recognise Emeritus Mayor Pat Reilly's contribution to the landmark cultural precinct.
The renaming acknowledges Pat Reilly's decades of service to the Willoughby community and his role in the delivery of The Concourse, one of the largest civic and cultural infrastructure projects undertaken by a local council in New South Wales.
Mayor Tanya Taylor said the naming recognised Pat Reilly's contribution to the city and his role in the development of The Concourse.
"The Concourse has become a place where residents and visitors come together to experience arts, culture and community life," Mayor Taylor said.
"Pat Reilly played an important role in making that possible and it is fitting that the Concert Hall now bears his name."
Pat Reilly served on Willoughby City Council for more than three decades, including multiple terms as Mayor. He was a strong advocate for arts and culture and played a leading role in progressing The Concourse from concept to completion.
