Campbelltown residents will soon be able to enjoy new footpaths, enhancing active transport connections across some of the area's most popular public spaces.
Construction has started on the first of 4 new shared pathways as part of the Connected Campbelltown project, which will enhance recreation opportunities and connect pathways in areas around local sports fields and reserves.
"These projects will enhance some of our most popular public reserves and give people an opportunity to exercise or enjoy a walk with family and friends," Mayor of Campbelltown Darcy Lound said.
"The locations were selected due to their existing connections to our pathway network and the great public amenity that already exists in these fantastic open spaces," he said.
Greg Warren, Member for Campbelltown and Parliamentary Secretary for Western Sydney said: "These projects will complement existing pathways around some of our wonderful local sports fields and reserves, giving our community a fantastic opportunity to spend time outdoors and walking."
Locations include:
- Wood Park, Ingleburn
- Jackson Park, Woodbine
- Thomas Acres and Cleopatra Reserve, Rosemeadow
- Abington Reserve, Glen Alpine
Connected Campbelltown is proudly funded by the NSW Government through the Western Sydney Infrastructure Grants Program.
