Safety Beach residents and visitors will soon be able to appreciate new public toilets and change rooms at the Safety Beach foreshore.
The project was delayed in February when the contractor experienced unforeseen hardship issues and was unable to continue the works.
We are pleased construction has begun again and we are anticipating works to be completed by November 2022.
During the construction period, portable public toilets have been installed and will remain in place until the new facilities are ready for use.
The soon-to-be $600,000 reconstructed facility will meet the needs of the popular foreshore precinct and feature:
- two unisex accessible / family change rooms
- two unisex ambulant change rooms
- two male ambulant change rooms
- two female ambulant change rooms
- two external wash down stations
- a drinking station
- two carparking spaces
- footpath connecting to the carpark spaces.
