Construction site arrests Rostrevor

Two people have been caught red handed by patrols in Rostrevor this morning.

At 4.40am Thursday 22 December police were called to a construction site on Morialta Road West following reports of an alarm activation. Norwood patrols were quickly on scene finding damage to a fence surrounding the site.

Patrols crept inside springing a man and woman with a number of power tools in their possession. The 33-year-old woman and a 35-year-old man from St Agnes were arrested and have both been charged with property damage, being unlawfully on premises and going equipped.

Outside the premises police located a motorbike with a screwdriver jammed in the ignition. Checks revealed the motorcycle had been stolen from Hectorville sometime between 7pm Wednesday 14 and 9am Thursday 15 December. The motorbike was towed from the scene.

Anyone who is missing tools from the site or who has further information that may assist police is asked to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 – you can remain anonymous.
