Council will be flushing water mains across Cooma for four weeks starting Tuesday 7 April 2026, as part of the regular water infrastructure maintenance schedule.

Flushing water mains helps to maintain high standards of drinking water quality for local residents and helps Council prevent the need for more costly maintenance and repairs across the supply network.

Essential information

Starts: Tuesday 7 April 2026

There will be no interruption to any property's water supply while this maintenance work is underway.

Slightly discoloured or sediment-carrying water will be present at times throughout the water supply network while flushing is being performed. Any affected residents and businesses are advised to run a tap for a few minutes until the water runs clear.
