The Corowa Visitor Information Centre (VIC), located within the Corowa Civic Centre, has successfully passed its onsite accreditation visit, securing its status as an accredited AVIC (Accredited Visitor Information Centre) within the Destination Riverina Murray and the state-wide 'En Route | NSW AVICs' network.
The accreditation confirms that the Corowa VIC meets the high-quality standards required for visitor services, providing accurate, reliable, and up-to-date information to tourists visiting the Corowa area and the wider North of the Murray region.
The VIC team has been commended for their professional service and commitment to providing an exceptional experience for all visitors.
Federation Council Mayor, Cr Cheryl Cook expressed her delight at the successful accreditation outcome.
"This is a fantastic achievement for Council's tourism team and for the Federation Council area," Mayor Cook said.
"The Corowa Visitor Information Centre is the welcoming face of our region, and this accreditation is formal recognition of the excellent service and local knowledge provided by the whole tourism team."
Mayor Cook said the VIC plays a vital role in encouraging visitors to explore Corowa and the entire Riverina Murray region.
"Passing this accreditation ensures that tourists receive the best possible advice, leading to longer stays and greater economic benefit for our local businesses," she said.
