Mark your calendars because Santa Claus is coming to town this festive season! Ararat Rural City Council is thrilled to announce its first-ever Photos with Santa event, offering local families the perfect opportunity to capture some Christmas magic.
To help residents beat the Christmas rush, photo sessions will run across two weekends: Friday 11th and Saturday 12th, and Friday 18th and Saturday 19th of December. Printed photo prints presented in festive cards and digital image packages will be available on-site, with packages starting at just $25 making them ideal gifts for family and friends.
To ensure everyone in the community can participate, Council has introduced dedicated pet-friendly sessions as well as low-sensory sessions tailored for individuals who prefer a quieter environment.
Ararat Rural City Council Mayor, Cr Bob Sanders, said Council is excited to bring extra Christmas cheer to the region this December. "This is a really fantastic event for our community, giving families, their pets, and those with sensory needs the opportunity to create Christmas memories," Cr Sanders said.
"Alongside Santa's visit, our Barkly Street window display will pay tribute to our incredible producers, as well as the fibre industries that underpin our region, giving everyone another reason to shop local and celebrate all that our municipality has to offer."
The festive window display on Barkly Street will be on show from Friday 11th December through to Tuesday 22nd December. Keep an eye out for farmyard friends popping up across town!
