Council Approves $342 Million Operational Plan For 2026-2027

Council has approved a $342 million investment in local services, infrastructure and community programs through its Operational Plan 2026-2027 and Delivery Program 2025-26 to 2028-29.

Endorsed at an Extraordinary Council Meeting held last night, the plans outline Council's priorities for the coming year, including a $95.8 million capital works program and a range of initiatives to enhance public spaces, social infrastructure and environmental outcomes across the city.

Mayor of Campbelltown, Darcy Lound said the budget included a number of transformative projects that would complement significant investment across the entire program.

"This is a plan for delivering on our commitments to the community. It balances the need to maintain the services community rely on every day while investing in projects that support our region's future growth.

"The delivery of the Western Sydney Infrastructure Grants program will see upgrades to the Railway Parade Bridge at Glenfield along with enhancements to our treasured natural locations through projects like the Simmos Beach Parklands and Dharawal Nature Playspace."

"Alongside these important projects, we'll continue to deliver the much-loved services our community rely on, from libraries and community events, to our leisure facilities and ongoing maintenance of sporting fields and recreation spaces."

"We are focused on turning plans into action, and this Operational Plan gives us and our community a clear picture of what we aim to achieve over the coming year," he said.
