Council celebrates State Budget investment in Drouin Primary School

Baw Baw Shire Council has applauded the $22.097 investment as part of the 2021/22 Victorian Budget to upgrade Drouin Primary School.

The funding will upgrade and modernise the school, including replacing existing temporary facilities and adding 225 extra spaces in permanent facilities, as well as providing a competition-grade gymnasium.

The additional space will set the school up for generations to come, catering for Baw Baw Shire's rapidly growing community, which is expected to increase by over 20,000 people to 69,259 by 2026.

The project will also provide direct benefits to the local economy, supporting local jobs and suppliers throughout the construction period.
