Council Reviews High Street, Seymour Permit Submissions

Mitchell Shire Council has received a planning permit application for 44 High Street, Seymour, which proposes an alternative use of the land for an office and takeaway food premises (a drive-through coffee shop).

The application is still under consideration, and no decision has been made at this stage.

It was tabled for discussion at the Community Questions and Hearings Committee meeting on Monday 2 March, with one person speaking in support of the application and twelve speaking against it.

Community Questions and Hearings Committee meetings are for Councillors to hear from submitters and ask them questions, not for making decisions.

Submissions made at the meeting will be considered as part of the formal decision making process. This is in addition to feedback previously received when the planning permit application was publicly advertised on Council's website.

A full report will be published when the planning permit application is presented to the Council meeting on Monday 16 March for consideration.
