Reopening as usual on Tuesday 7 April 2026
The afterhours service can be reached by calling 6566 3200 for urgent emergencies such as damage to Council infrastructure like bridges, roads and water main breaks or impact public health and safety.
Waste Services
Will my bin still be collected as normal?
Yes, please put your bins out on your regular bin night for collection.
Waste Management Centre
The Waste Management Centre on Crescent Head Road will be open.
Bellbrook Waste Transfer Station
The Bellbrook Waste Transfer Station on Armidale Road will be closed as usual on Friday 3 April and Monday 6 April. It will also be closed on Sunday 5 April 2026.
It will reopen as usual on Wednesday 8 April 2026 at 9AM.
South West Rocks Waste Transfer Station
The South West Rocks Waste Transfer Station on Arakoon Road will be closed on Friday 3 April and closed as usual on a Monday.
It will reopen on Tuesday 7 April at 8AM.
Stuarts Point Waste Transfer Station
The Stuarts Point Waste Transfer Station on Fishermans Reach Road will be closed as usual on Friday 3 April and Monday 6 April. It will also be closed on Saturday 4 April 2026.
It will reopen as usual on Wednesday 8 April 2026 at 9AM.
Slim Dusty Centre
Slim Dusty Centre will be closed Friday 3 April to Monday 6 April.
It will reopen as usual on Tuesday 7 April 2026.
Libraries
Kempsey Shire Libraries will be closed from Friday 3 April to Monday 6 April.
It will reopen as usual on Tuesday 7 April 2026.
This includes libraries in Kempsey, South West Rocks and Stuarts Point.
