A new promotional video highlighting the natural beauty, cultural significance, and tourism potential of the Bunya Mountains has been released by Western Downs Regional Council.
The video supports the recent launch of the Bunya Mountains Investment Prospectus for a premium nature-based accommodation opportunity at Russell Park and was developed to showcase the unique environmental, cultural, and tourism values that make the destination one of Queensland's most iconic visitor experiences.
The video is narrated by Western Downs Regional Council Spokesperson for Business Strategy and Economic Development Councillor Megan James, who said the video was designed to inspire interest in the region's premier eco-tourism investment opportunity whilst showcasing the breathtaking beauty of the Bunya Mountains
"The Bunya Mountains is a truly special destination, offering visitors a rare opportunity to connect with nature, culture, and the stunning landscapes that make the area so unique," Cr James said.
"Through this video, we wanted to showcase the real opportunity for investors to create a world-class accommodation experience that complements and respects the natural environment.
"The prospectus presents an exciting opportunity to boost tourism in the region, with the Bunya Mountains already welcoming more than 200,000 visitors each year."
Captured across some of the Bunya Mountains' most iconic locations, the video highlights the ancient bunya pine forests, natural landscapes, and visitor experiences that continue to attract travellers from across Australia.
Cr James said Council is committed to supporting investment and tourism opportunities that strengthen the regional economy while protecting the natural and cultural assets that make the Western Downs unique.
"This video tells the story of the Bunya Mountains in a way that words alone cannot, giving potential investors and visitors a firsthand look at one of Queensland's most remarkable natural destinations," she said.
"By showcasing the landscape, visitor experience, and investment potential of the Bunya Mountains, we're helping position the Western Downs as a destination for sustainable tourism growth and encouraging investment that will benefit our region for years to come."
