Council has launched a new education program that helps local children learn practical skills they can use at school, at home and in the community.
The heroes of the Snowy Super Squad use fun, hands-on lessons to help preschool and primary school children build good habits and understand how their everyday actions can make a difference.
The first lesson focuses on recycling and is rolling out now across the region. Sessions include activities, games and songs to keep children involved and help them remember what they have learned.
Developed in-house by Council in collaboration with a local visual artist, each character in Snowy Super Squad will support a different lesson area from water to compost and everything in between.
Mayor Chris Hanna said the program gives children clear, practical lessons in a way that is engaging and easy to remember.
'Snowy Super Squad is a strong local program that helps children learn skills they can use every day,' said Mayor Hanna.
'When children learn good habits early, they can help shape the choices made at home and in everyday life. Programs like this can support long-term change by making important lessons simple, positive and practical.'
Students are rewarded at the end of each session for being on their best Snowy Superhero behaviour, including stickers and a certificate with take-home information to share with their families.
The program has already received strong interest from local educators.
A small number of session bookings are still available for 2026, and primary school sessions for 2027 will open later this year.
