Council Waste Services Update - Facilities Reopening

Snowy Monaro Regional Council is pleased to advise that most waste services will reopen from Saturday 16 October.

This includes all Landfills and Transfer Stations, but does not include the ScrapMart facilities at Cooma and Jindabyne Landfills.

The restrictions on disposable items will also be lifted and facilities will now be able to once again accept all waste and recyclable items as per normal operations.

ScrapMart will remain closed for now in-line with Council's pandemic plan and while we await progression through the NSW Government's roadmap for re-opening. As this advances we will continue to review and determine a suitable time for re-opening ScrapMarts.

Waste services had been restricted earlier in October due to a COVID-19 positive case in our organisation and subsequent close contact exposure of some of our employees.

We thank you all for your patience during these trying times and to those employees who kept our limited waste services operating during this time, with many of their fellow team members isolating.
