The Public Activities COVID-19 Direction has been updated in South Australia

Public Activities Direction No 23

The Public Activities No 23 Direction came into effect at 12.46pm on Wednesday 14 April 2021.

Public Assemblies have been included as a defined public activity and prescribed operation, therefore:

  • A COVID Safe Plan is required, unless there are more than 1000 people attending, then a COVID Management Plan is required.
  • A COVID Marshal is required.
  • Contact tracing is required.
  • The 3 persons per 4 square metres rule applies.

A public assembly means any convention, procession, parade or commemorative event in a public place. Please note: a person organising a public assembly may be required to give notice under the Public Assemblies Act 1972.
