COVID-19 update - 14 May 2020

The Department of Health has today reported one new case of COVID-19 overnight, bringing the State's total to 554.

The case is a female in her 30s who is close contact of a confirmed case and is currently self-isolating.

There are seven active cases across the State with one in regional WA.

Of the State's active cases, all seven are from Western Australia.

In Western Australia 538 people have now recovered from the virus.

There is now only one COVID-19 patient in a Perth metropolitan hospital. The patient is in ICU.

Yesterday, 718 people presented to WA COVID-19 clinics, and of these 660 were assessed and 652 were swabbed.

To date there have been 61,267 COVID-19 tests performed in WA. Of those, 10,901 tests were carried out in regional WA.
