COVID-19 update - 7 May 2020

Today is the eighth day of no new COVID-19 cases reported in Western Australia.

The State total stands at 551.

There are 531 people who have recovered from the virus, leaving WA with 11 active cases of COVID-19.

There are six confirmed COVID-19 patients in Perth metropolitan hospitals – three of whom are in ICU.

To date there have been 51,352 COVID-19 tests performed in WA. Of those, 9,053 tests were carried out in regional WA.

Yesterday, 541 people presented to WA COVID-19 clinics – 497 people were assessed and 489 were swabbed.
