The Northern Territory has recorded three new cases of COVID-19, bringing the total number of cases from the NT outbreak to 40. These include:
· A male in his 40s from Katherine who is a known close contact and has been quarantining at the Centre for National Resilience during his infectious period. He has received one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.
· A female in her 20s from Binjari who is a household contact of a previously recorded case and is now in quarantine at the CNR. She is unvaccinated.
· A male infant from Robinson River who is a child of a previously recorded case and has been at the Centre for National Resilience (CNR) during his infectious period. He has now been admitted to Royal Darwin Hospital and is in a stable condition.
The male in his 60s from Katherine who tested positive for COVID-19 yesterday is connected to the Captain Jacks Fish and Chips exposure site. He is fully vaccinated.
Extensive contact tracing remains underway, with 460 close contacts identified to date for cluster two. Of these, 453 close contacts have been contacted and are isolating while 406 have returned a negative test. Close contacts will continue to be tested for COVID-19 regularly throughout their 14-day quarantine period.
The Municipality of Katherine (including Tindal) will remain in a form of lockdown or lockout until Saturday 4 December. This is due to ongoing case numbers, the identification of additional public exposure sites and persistent positive wastewater results in Katherine.
About 2,350 COVID-19 tests were processed across the NT yesterday. Wastewater results for the period for 19 - 20 November for the Bicentennial Road catchment site in Katherine remain positive. A positive result was also returned for the Katherine Gold Club catchment. No other unexpected results were detected in wastewater across the NT.
Anyone with symptoms who is in Katherine or has been to Katherine is asked to get tested for COVID-19.
The Katherine Hospital Pandemic Clinic (Drive-Through Testing Site) is open daily from 9am to 6pm.
The Katherine walk-in COVID-19 testing clinic is open daily from 9am - 6:00pm.
COVID-19 testing sites are also open in Greater Darwin, Alice Springs, Tennant Creek and Nhulunbuy. Testing is also available at NT Health clinics in remote communities.

COVID-19 Vaccination
About 84 per cent of Territorians are fully vaccinated while more than 95 per cent have had their first dose.
In addition, all eligible residents in Warlpiri Camp, Rockhole and Binjari have now received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. The vaccination rate in Pmara Jutunta in Central Australia and Kalkaringi in the Big Rivers Region have increased to above 70% first dose.
