Covid Vaccination Hub Opens In Palmerston

NT Government

The Territory Labor Government has today opened the Palmerston COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic which is on track to deliver at least 2000 extra appointments per week.

This comes as a record number of 9100 vaccine doses were administered to Territorians via NT Health Clinics last week.

Solid booking figures have already been secured at the new vaccination clinic, based at Palmerston Hub.

It has never been easier to secure a free vaccine appointment in the Territory with bookings available at NT Health COVID-19 vaccine clinics, GPs, Community Pharmacies and Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisations.

The latest figures show 64% of Territorians have received their first dose and 45% are fully vaccinated.

In remote communities, 51% of Territorians have received their first dose and 32% are fully vaccinated.

This week NT Health vaccination teams are visiting communities including Peppimenarti, Palumpa, Yuendumu and Haasts Bluff.

Eligibility for the Pfizer vaccine was extended to all children in the Northern Territory aged 12-15 last week.

All Territorians aged 12 and above are now eligible for the vaccine.
