Last week at Councils' ordinary meeting the Central Goldfields Draft Climate Action Plan went before Council to be endorsed for public exhibition. Community feedback is now invited before the draft Plan is finalised in the near future.

A small group of ardent individuals, including myself, have been working hard for almost 12 months to bring this plan together, incorporating the advice of Ndevr Environmental, into a document that is now open for public consultation. I have been passionate about climate change advocacy for quite some time and am therefore excited to share the Draft Central Goldfields Climate Action Plan with you (follow the link). I sincerely hope that it successfully captures the climate aspirations of our community www.engage.cgoldshire.vic.gov.au/climateaction

This meaningful document will guide the Central Goldfields Shires' response to climate change through to 2030. The plan outlines Council's role in leading local action to climate change, with a particular focus on our community to create real impact. It provides direction for the Central Goldfields community to tackle climate change together. This plan can also be utilised as an education tool for those not familiar with what climate change is actually about.

You are invited to attend a feedback session at the Maryborough Resource Centre atrium, Tuesday 12th
