The City of Stonnington has welcomed Cr Melina Sehr back as Mayor for the 2025–26 Council year.
Cr Sehr was unanimously elected by fellow Councillors at last night's Statutory Meeting of Council on Wednesday, 21 November. Representing the Greville Ward, Cr Sehr brings more than 20 years of experience and dedicated service to the community.
"It is an honour to serve as Mayor and I thank my colleagues for their continued trust. Stonnington is a city with enormous potential and passionate communities, and I am committed to leading a Council that listens, collaborates and delivers," Mayor Cr Sehr said.
"Over the coming year, Council will continue to focus on strengthening liveability, investing in our neighbourhoods and supporting the wellbeing of everyone who calls Stonnington home. I look forward to working side by side with our community to achieve this."
Councillors also elected Cr Samantha Choudhury as Deputy Mayor for the 2025–26 Council year.
Cr Choudhury, who represents Orrong Ward, is a lifetime resident of Windsor. A first-time Deputy Mayor, she is passionate about high-quality public spaces, pedestrian-friendly design and protecting amenity as the city grows .
"I am proud to take on the role of Deputy Mayor and support the Mayor and my fellow Councillors. Together, we share a strong commitment to positive outcomes for our city and the people we serve." Cr Choudhury said.
