Craigieburn officers have detected a high range drink driver following a collision in Craigieburn this afternoon.
Officers were called to the intersection of Aiken Boulevard and Grand Boulevard about 2.45pm on 10 August after reports a Nissan Navara ute and an Audi SUV had been involved in a collision.
Police spoke to both drivers and the driver of the Nissan, a 36-year-old man from Craigieburn, underwent a preliminary breath test which returned a positive result.
He accompanied police to a local station and underwent an evidentiary breath test where he returned an alleged reading of 0.303.
He was issued an immediate driving ban and will be charged on summons with exceeding the prescribed content of alcohol whilst driving.
His car was impounded for 30 days at a cost of $999.52.
The other driver was not injured in the collision.
