Crash Brings Down Tree In Cyclist's Path

A driver and cyclist were both taken to hospital following a crash on the South Eastern Freeway at Mount Osmond last night.

Emergency services were called to the South Eastern Freeway, Mount Osmond at 7pm on Monday 29 June by reports of a crash.

A Ford Ranger left the road and went down an embankment into a tree, knocking the tree down. A cyclist riding past along the bike path a few seconds later then crashed into a fallen tree branch.

Both the P-plate driver, a 17-year-old Bridgewater boy, and cyclist were taken to hospital by ambulance for treatment of minor injuries.

The Ford Ranger was towed from the scene.

Investigations into the crash are ongoing.
