Creative Showcase returns to Memo

Flourishing Fearlessly by Shayla Kimton - from Mooroolbark College

In February, the Creative Showcase will take-over The Memo in Healesville, to showcase the work of 31 students from across the Yarra Ranges who persevered through the challenges of 2021 and COVID-19 to create incredible artwork across a range of different mediums and subject matter.

The Creative Showcase, hosted by Council and Burrinja Cultural Centre, is the largest showcase of emerging artists from across the Yarra Ranges region who have completed VCE or VCAL art or studio art. This dynamic exhibition is an insight into the artistic minds of the youngest and brightest creatives in the region.

This year’s exhibition will also provide a unique glimpse into the experiences and perspectives of our young people who had to face navigating their final years of secondary education during the unprecedented challenges of a global pandemic.

Mediums include photography, painting, sculpture, mixed-media, and drawing.

The exhibition will open on Friday 4 February and close on Sunday 27 February.
