Cricket Victoria is excited to announce the U19 Metro & Country Male Emerging Players squads for the 2026-27 season.

The U19 program mirrors the style of the senior Victorian program, allowing for expanded playing opportunities across different formats throughout the season.

Pre-season will run through until the U19s camp at the Mildura Sporting Precinct during the September school holidays, where they'll play T20 and 50-over matches under lights before transitioning into Premier Cricket at the start of October.

Working directly with Cricket Victoria's High-Performance staff and experienced Premier Cricket coaches, The U19s Program will introduce players to key themes around what it takes to be a professional cricketer at an elite level.

"We're thrilled with the depth of talent across both teams, reflecting the strength of Victorian community cricket, representative cricket, Premier clubs and the dedicated coaches across the system that play such an important role in developing the next generation of Victorian cricketers," said Cricket Victoria Male Talent Development Manager, Tom Evans.

The squads have been selected based on efforts across both senior and U18 Premier competitions, as well as player outputs during last year's National Championships. Talented Victorian rookie contracted player Aryan Sharma (Carlton) features in the squad, Sharma also represented Australia in the 2026 U19 World Cup.

The squads will continue to be mentored by former first-class player and experienced Dandenong and Geelong Premier Coach, Nick Speak, supported by former Ryder Medalist and CV Talent Specialist, James Miller, and former Victorian players Travis Dean and Xavier Crone.

Although there is no male U19 World Cup this season, some players may be given the opportunity to represent Australia at U19 level in bilateral international series, which serves as a great opportunity for these talented young players.

The Victoria Country and Metro final teams will be selected ahead of the Cricket Australia National Championships, with locations and dates for the championships to be announced by Cricket Australia.
