Cyclist Critically Injured After Crash At Blacktown

An investigation is underway after a cyclist was taken to a hospital in a critical condition following a crash in Sydney's west yesterday.

Just after 8.20am yesterday (Thursday 12 March 2026), emergency services were called to Balmoral Street, Blacktown, following reports of a bicycle and a truck had collided.

The cyclist – a 29-year-old man -was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Westmead Hospital where he remains in a critical condition.

The truck driver – a 24-year-old man – was subjected to a roadside breath test, returned with a negative result.

A crime scene was established and officers attached to Blacktown Police Area Command commenced an investigation into the incident.
